Partnering with schools to provide professional mental health services to students in their academic setting.

Counseling and Support Services for Youth’s (CASSY) mission is to de-stigmatize mental health services and make supporting students’ social and emotional well-being the norm in our local schools. CASSY wants to provide all students with the continuity of support they need, from the first day of kindergarten until they graduate from high school, to be successful in school and in life.

CASSY provides comprehensive mental health services to all of their partner schools. This includes counseling and proactive mental health education for students (including Special Education students), consultation and training for staff, and outreach to parents and the broader community. Ongoing counseling, crisis intervention and treatment, proactive mental health education, and peer mediation are all services that are provided to the students, staff, and parents at no cost.

Since inception, CASSY has provided a mental health safety net for over 20,000 students and is in 33 schools in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
